Highland Dances (Góralskie and Zbójnicki) belong to the classical part of Tatry's repertoire and are probably the most difficult to learn.

Not only the variety of jumps but also the regular dance step, both for male and female requires to master a very unique pattern following a fast, broken rhythm.

To be able to perform the Góralskie on stage dancers have to practice for years, and to remain in the top form they must take part in regular weekly routines.

And then on stage the effort must double because their original costumes are hot and heavy since they are designed for frosty mountains.

The Group is performing Nowosadeckie Songs during the Canberra Concert in 1987.

The folklore in this hilly region preceding the Polish mountains has components of the heavy regular rhythm from central Poland with overtones of faster string music from the highlands.
