Tatry in 2023
Dear families, Welcome to 2023! We are excited and looking forward to another big year as we celebrate Tatry’s 65th anniversary.
Rehearsals for Junior Tatry groups 1 and 2 and Intermediates will resume on Tuesday 7 February 2023 at 6pm. Registration forms will be handed out on the night.
Anyone interested in joining Junior Tatry is also welcome to attend on the night to learn more, meet the instructors and register. Children in groups 1, 2 and intermediates are aged from five to 15 years. Rehearsal Protocol Junior Tatry rehearsals are held every Tuesday night from 6pm to 7pm at the Dom Polski Centre, 230 Angas Street Adelaide. When singing classes recommence later in the year, rehearsal will finish at 7.30pm.
Parents must drop off and pick up their children in the Dom Polski foyer – parents are not permitted to sit in on or enter during rehearsal time. Children are required to wear comfortable clothing suitable for dancing and moving (e.g. leggings or shorts) and flexible footwear (e.g. light sneakers). Ballet, jazz or character shoes are encouraged but not mandatory in the Junior groups. An attendance roll is taken at each rehearsal by the groups’ instructor/s. Joining Tatry as a dancer is a commitment – we appreciate plenty of notice if your child is unable to attend a rehearsal. Contact numbers of instructors and coordinators will be distributed at registration.
Tatry is a volunteer-run group and while we all have a lot of fun, we must remember at all times to treat each other (instructors, dancers, committee members) with courtesy and respect.
Performances Both the Junior and Senior groups have several performance commitments during the year – coordinators and instructors will communicate with parents to inform of upcoming performances and any extra rehearsals that may be required.
We look forward to a great year!
Kind regards,
Kasia and Basia
Junior Tatry coordinators

Tatry ends the year in style
Tatry pulled off another great concert and ended the year in style. Thanks to all for participating and helping out. The concert featured the whole ensemble and dances from many regions of Poland.
Standout performances were by Male Tatry group 2 with their Krakowiak, Senior B Pasterskie (watch out Senior A’s) and a „first time in a long time” Rzeszowskie, which included many new Senior A members even some debuts.
